"The 2018 Arinto Inspir'ar Grande Escolha is unoaked and without fizz. It comes in with six grams of residual sugar, 5.2 of total acidity and 12.5% alcohol. This seemingly adds a layer of concentration to the Avesso this issue, at least perceptibly. The fruit has more of an unctuous feel on the palate. It is not as intense as some Arintos can be, though, and the structure is average at best. Overall, this is well done, graceful and balanced, but it's not one I would hold for a long time. Like its Avesso sibling, it probably has just enough stuffing to hold up to lighter foods, but it will do well on its own too, even if it is not in that easygoing and fizzy style. Enjoy it this summer for best results, no matter how long it theoretically holds.
